Pocketbook Strategies is seeking a full time Staff Accountant. The staff accountant will play a key role in the monthly and quarterly accounting cycle by being responsible for the financial data entry, reconciliations, and financial report preparation for Pocketbook’s client base (multi-entity nonprofits, social movement organizations, and political businesses). The staff accountant will be responsible for shepherding clients through the first 75% of the monthly accounting cycle by preparing workbooks, entering monthly transactions and reconciling the majority of bank, investment, and credit card accounts. They will also be responsbile for managing and improving the weekly bill pay process and bi-monthly payroll runs.

The ideal candidate will be committed to providing excellent financial services to various organizations across the progressive political ecosystem, and be excited to grow their role and Pocketbooks processes through a variety of software and innovative accounting techniques and processes.
